it's easy! For all regular verbs ending in ar you just have to remember the endings for each person:

for yo = o
for tú = as
for él/ella/usted = a
for nosotros = amos
for ustedes = an
for ellos/ellas = an

remove the AR from the verb and add the above endings
am-AR = to love
yo amO
tú amAS
él amA
nosotros amAMOS
ustedes amAN
ellos amAN
tú amAS

In my first year of Spanish in seventh grade, I had a teacher who I thought was awful. All period long, it seemed, all we ever did was conjugate verbs. He'd put up a sheet with verbs in the infinitive; we'd sit there and write out our conjugations to turn in at the end of class. We'd sit and chat with one another while we conjugated, and conjugated, and conjugated. Oh, and conjugated.

It felt ridiculous. Of course, now I realize that it has helped me tremendously- not only do I know a ton of verbs off the top of my head, but I know their conjugations instantly, whereas a friend has to struggle to remember endings and irregular forms.

My advice is to practice, practice, practice. Do just what I did- while you're watching TV, chatting with friends, on the bus, in class- pick a list of verbs and start conjugating them (checking, of course, to make sure you're right). Translate them so that the meaning of the verb sticks in your head, and just keep doing it. You'll get it.

See this website to make sure you have the conjugations right:

Good luck on getting it down!

You need to write them down on index cards, front and back so you can quiz yourself. Also, it won't hurt to look at one of the Spanish channels from time to time even if you don't understand.....things will start becoming clearer when your vocabulary gets better. Practice, practice...like you would an instrument.
