Zinfandel Temperature

Yes you can chill red zinfandel. I know a couple who own a winery and they said that it is ok to drink it chilled. Back in the "old days" room temp. was chilly so their reds were chilled. I always drink my red wines cold I even throw in a few ice cubes if I think it's too warm.

Like all red wines it should be served between 54-56 degrees Fahrenheit. A very fine red wine you would server slightly warmer then that (58-62 degrees). Whites/Blushes are chilled and served between 50 - 46 degrees. Sparklers are served around 40-44.

Hope that helps

No, there are very view red wines that you chill. Blush wines typically get chilled such as a white zinfendel or a white merlot but not red wine.

You don't have to, but a slight chill to it supposedly brings out more flavors and makes it more enjoyable.
