My friend and I decided we would like to start working out, mainly to help define out abs. We're both extremely skinny, so we won't need to lose any weight. However, we don't know what we should do? Running? Crunches? We have access to a gym, so we can use their equipment.

you should start a strength training program, including crunches as well as other ab exercises, someone at the gym could give you a routine, or they have tons of exercise videos to get you started.......

if the gym has small weights (5-8lbs.) then lift those like you were flexing a muscle 50x per arm twice.
20-30 pushups
20-30 crunches
15-20 cross crunches per leg
jump in the air or with a rope for 1-2 mins. good for heart
20-50 leg scissors.(lying on the ground both hands under your butt, lift your legs 6-10 inches off the ground and open and close them in the air like you were making a snow angel)
try kickboxing or martial arts
20-30 deep squatts (builds muscle in your thighs)
1-2 mile walks/jogs (strech first)
lunges (foward and to the sides)
eat oatmeal in the morning
stair climbers are always good (30min.) (at gym)
i'm a thin girl too. this is what i do along with martial arts and kickboxing and i have good abs and toned arms.
takes off alot of stress too and you have alot of fun especially with a friend. always push each other.
good going girls:)
