both in the same day? every other day? kinda confused. already thin, just need defenition.

Cardio isn't going to tone you up much. It's more of an aerobic activity. You need weights. Weight training will allow you to tone your muscle, and/or add size and strength to them. Start with machine training if possible. You can do a full body workout 2-3 times a week with light weights for toning, or you can work upper body one day, rest day, legs next day, rest day, stomach and back, rest day, etc. If you stay with the same weight and do high reps for each exercise (20-25) you will tone. If you go heavier and do less reps (8-15) you can add strength and size.

Here's what I would do if I were you: I'd go to a gym and get a "free" week and talk to a professional about repetions and diets for YOUR frame. These guys know their stuff, honey, and they can see what you need. Even if you don't join, you can ask what exercises and techniques you can do at home also. Godloveya! You're gonna be FABULOUS!
