I think you can make your own form of heaven here on Earth. There's no way to know if it exists in the afterlife until you get there, so the best route is to make the most of what you have here.
I don't believe in hell, simply because the concept of a place for eternal torture escapes me. I don't know that there are a lot of people I would wish eternal torture on- I mean, years of it for those who support genocide, etc., maybe, but eternity? It bothers me. Doesn't mean I'm right, doesn't mean I'm wrong either.

I have been taught to believe that there is a heaven and hell, which scares me. I don't want to go to hell. :( Sometimes I wonder if the theory was just put in place to keep us in line. It's probably best to believe then not to believe.
We can have something like heaven or hell on earth. Life is what we make it.

Both. You can make your own happiness and hell here on earth. And yes, I strongly surmise there is an afterlife of either heaven or hell

Hell, is simply the greek word for graveyard (Hebrew: sheol), 6 feet under the ground.
more appropriate question: where are the dead?
----------------------------
Ecclesiastes 9: 5 For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten. 6 Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun.
10 All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in She´ol, the place to which you are going.
-----------------------------------
this tells us that there is no afterlife, if we die we are buried in sheol (graveyard, pit, hell), where are body will turn to dust eventually....and it says the dead is conscious of nothing, feels nothing so what about hellfire? duh..to those who preaches such.
the reason for belief of afterlife is the Philosophical teaching of the immortality of the soul which has no biblical basis...see this, if the soul is immortal then it needs somewhere to go if it dies??? then the idea of hell, purgatory or heaven was created....but these are all lies that mislead us....
Jesus went to hell the bible said, yes because he was buried in 'hell' (again translated as graveyard, pit) and he was raised from it....although Jesus went to heaven with God,not all of us can follow (only 144,000)
funny thing that hell is pictured with Satan and demons there but look what REvelation 12 says:
On this account be glad, YOU heavens and YOU who reside in them! Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to YOU, having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time.”
Satan is on the earth and sea not in hell....

none of us go to heaven when we die - john 7 :34 - 36 we all end up back in the ground (hell / the grave )eventually while we wait for Messiah to come and resurrect the dead back to life again ezekiel 37 / revelation 20 . Yah is not so weak / unintelligent that He is not capable of keeping a perfect memory / record of us / our personality and individuality. exactly how He does this i don't think even an einstein could figure out all the intricate details so wait till Messiah comes and ask Him.

Anything, bad or good, you will do in your life here on earth will be taken to the other invisible world after your body die. A man dies when his brain dies it takes around 5-10 min when there is no oxigen flowing to brain. But the brain consists of small atoms that never die they are invisible and that is what holds all the information about what you did and do in your life. This information never die. That information is a human being real -human being. Our body is just a leaf on a tree. When the leaf die we do not say that the tree died too, right. The leaf is our body the tree is our sole

Heaven and Hell exist somewhere, I don't know where, but they exist, here and now. Heaven has existed from eternity. Hell was created for the devil and his angels.

When a person dies, we go to either Heaven or Hell. To be saved and have a relationship with God, here is how: 1. Realize that you are a sinner and need forgiveness. 2. Repent of your sins by both confessing your sins to God and turning away from your sins to Jesus. 3. Recieve Jesus as Savior and Lord of your life, trusting Him to save you by His grace alone and to come into your heart and make you born again. www.equip.org
