hi,
I don't know what country you are writing from, but
you should be able to get some help with English language at your local library (if you have one).or if you are in college or university they should have some books on the subject.
as for occupations (i presume you mean looking for work/jobs) You might try to pick up an english newspaper that has advertisments for such things.

where ever you live go to the citizen advice bearu they will be able to help you or to your local concil. i am a concil worker in cambridgeshire in england
