Papers do NOT promise anything about the dog. Hard work training and lots of love do that. AKC papers are worth nothing unless you plan to show the dog, I recommend ADOPTING. You can still get that Min Pin of your dreams, but for a low cost of about $100-200. Every rescue organization is different, but most of the time the cost is more reasonable than paying $750. At the place I volunteer with, the dog is neutered, shots are up to date, have heartwarm treatment, and they are microchipped. Why not spend less for the same quality dog and spend more money buying the essentials for your new pet.
I just adopted 2 purebred beagle pups for $200 and they have all the traits of a beagle without paying a fortune.
Hope you find that dog of your dreams.

Sounds about right. You should get a health guarantee as well. Make sure kennel is clean and the dogs are well cared for. Do your research. Don't listen to people that tell you mutts are healthier. Mutts and/or rescue dogs can have just as many health problems as pure bred animals not to mention the behavior problems they may have. I know I am going to get a lot of bad ratings for saying this but I wanted a gsd and I went the the route of rescues and shelters only to end up putting two to sleep at very young ages (2 and 2yrs 8 months) so I know how you feel. I think if you are going to get a dog you should get one that you are going to be happy with because you are going to have the dog for 12+ years and it is no fun at all if they are always sick. Good luck

No, that's not too much to pay. If your heart is set on this dog, go check out the breeder's house. Make sure she/he is taking care of all the dogs there. The breeder should give you a health guarantee, so if your puppy does get sick, you can get a refund. Now, I'm not saying that you'd take the refund instead of trying to help your pup, but that shows that the breeder is a responsible one.

if it's a really good breeder, that is about what you should expect to pay. My dog was 1000 because he is a rare breed (NSDTR) and his background has show & field champions, and I titled him in agility. but if you want a pet, you can still find beautiful and healthy dogs in a shelter or breed rescue,a breed rescue may even have AKC papers.

I would NEVER pay that amount of money for a dog!! Especially with so many in the shelters waiting for a loving home, you may even find a minpin there if that's what you're dead set to get. Unless you're expereinced in breeding and plan to or want to show the dog, is registration really that important?? Shelters aren't dirty either aside from the fact that soooooo many poor animals live there. PLUS, those animals are vaccinated, have had vet care, and are in very good health or else they would not be considered adoptable.

No canines continues to be a domestic dog always. commence attending to well known all breeds and discover one which is top for you. lovable isn't an element right here as domestic dog lovable is temporary.. you do not get a canines because its lovable. You get a canines because you're searching for a significant different or a operating significant different. we do not recognize you or your way of existence. we won't be able to advise a breed nor do we recommend a acceptance. Why might want to we do the grant you with the outcomes you want? we do not get something out of it.

i got a miniature pit bull from a shelter the only thing she had was kennel cough. my friend bought a lab from some fancy pet store where he paid a lot for it. the thing ended up having a lot of problems, bite a kid in the face and had to get put to sleep before it was 2 years old.
kennels are understaffed, overcrowded and they get hardly any donations.

Your chances at having health problems are less with a mutt my dear.
Dirty kennels...if more people would adopt the kennels wouldn't be so overcrowded and understaffed!
I'm sorry, but that statement hit me hard.
