Sure - two dogs and one cat. And why not? I have no idea as to the efficacy of prayer, whether it works or not.
But I figure it doesn't hurt to try. And, since I love my animals, I figure praying from them to be safe from harm is a good thing to do.

no cause prayers are there to create a false hope. such that, praying does absolutely nothing. other then basing the outcome on random chance and probability. i guarentee you if you and me are put in the same situation, and u pray and i dont. it wont matter who prayed what will matter is who worked for what they want. and for those of you who believe that telling children santa doesnt exist, (because your implementing a false hope) by telling them god will answer your prayers your doing the exact same.

I pray for my basset hound everyday. Here is a prayer to St. Francis who is known as the protector and Saint of animals.

PRAYER TO ST. FRANCIS
FOR OUR PETS
Good St. Francis, you loved all of God's creatures.
To you they were your brothers and sisters.
Help us to follow your example
of treating every living thing with kindness.
St. Francis, Patron Saint of animals, watch over my pet
and keep my companion safe and healthy.
Amen.

St. Francis of Assisi Lover of all Creation
Prayer for Sick Animals:
Heavenly Father,
you created all things for your glory
and made us stewards of this creature
If it is your will, restore it to health andstrength.
Blessed are you, Lord God,
and holy is your name for ever and ever.
Amen

I tried time after time to get my cat to say her prayers, to no avail, so yes I have to say them for her.
I guess I should have a parrot for a pet.

Yes, I have, when they were ill. I would be interested to know exactly why other users consider it a sin.

Yes. Dogs and horses. I've made mention of my wife's horse at many Masses, too.
