I need to write a history 2 to 3 page essey for Ancient Greece and I have no idea what an MLA essey is I need examples because I've been to sites that explain how to write it but I don't understand so please someone help me!

The MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers, 6th ed. (2003) includes advice on writing a research paper, the mechanics of style, editorial principles, the format for research papers, and a sample research paper. It is available in the refernce sections of libraries.
Check out the website below for a sample paper. The MLA example is under the Humanities heading. History as a field tends to prefer traditional footnotes rather than in-text citations; Chicago style may be a better choice.

MLA is a style.. Basically its a research paper. The basic essay is introduction - body - conclusion. When you include quotes or information you got from somewhere else, make sure you cite it with a citation (Author pg number) = (Shakespeare 15). You need to do page numbers at the top with your last name and page number (Yahoo 2). Also the margins need to be 1" around. Then you need to put all your references that you used in your paper in a works cited page.
