I see that most people think that its a bonus to get a 'double yolker' - but really, it isnt........ if you notice, a double yolkers yolk is smaller then a one yolkers yolks, but the double yolkers yolk both added together actually equals the same as a single yolkers yolk.

Im not a pheasant plucker just a pheasant pluckers son,
And Im only plucking pheasants till the pheasant plucker comes!!!!

By the way........... any eggs that you eat are not 'half formed' baby chicks, the eggs that you eat are unfertilised, thus, you can't get any chicks from an unfertilised egg and if you get a double yolker it means nothing, there can be no deformed baby chick because the egg was never fertilised in the first place - its just the way the egg is!!!

I once got a box with only double yolkers. I consider it excellent value for money. Not sure about half-formed chicks. I'd rather find Thumbelina or something...

I think a double yolker should make you think twice as hard about the chickens and buying free-range eggs ;) You know its the best.

It is a bonus at the time of cooking, since the yolks have protein and fat that makes any preparation richer. It is not a bonus though, if you are watching your cholesterol. We always get double yolk eggs. it's like having two eggs in one shell, these eggs are huge.

Not sure I consider it more of a bonus and have to honestly say I think I've only had a double yoker once.
What I really want to tell you is that your picture scares the be-jeebers out of me.

It is always a surprise when a double yolk pops out. I don't think of it as a bonus, but I think it would have been twins.

Double yolkers ARE a bonus - your avatar isn't.
