If you loved a guy but he gave you a really small diamond would you marry him or does rock size mean everything?

No if I loved a guy I would marry him if he got me a small diamond. Some women think that the bigger the diamond the more he must love me. Diamonds are expensive and if some one thought you were cheap I would ignore it because it is the thought that counts. Good luck and I hope I was some help!

In my eyes, it's not the size of the rock that matters, it's the size of the heart that matters. Of course some women care about the size of the rock, but that would only tell you what she's really interested in and in reality that would make her a material girl. If she really loves you, she'll marry you no matter what size the rock is. Good luck!

My hubby could not afford a really big diamond when we got married (1977). So the diamond that he gave me was just perfect for what we could afford at the time. I have since gotten a beautiful 3 cts. diamond ring for out 25th anniversary. The diamond did not matter to me, it was the guy giving it to me that mattered a lot more. If he would not have been able to afford a diamond, that would have been OK too.

Size SHOULD not matter....but ya know, there are some beautiful bands and rings without a diamond...OR I have seen some gorgeous rings with a diamond and some other stones in setting (ie rubies, emerald, etc..) You would be a HAPPILY married man if you saved whatever you could...and for your 5th or ? anniversary .....get her a rock !!!!

Well. The bigger the rock the more impressed with you she will be. If you spend a mere 900 (I'm talking New Zealand dollars sorry... its like the cost of 2 Ipods) she wont be too impressed.

As a girl, rock size ultimately doesnt matter... but if he loves me he will work hard and save up so he can buy me a ring that I will be really happy with.

She will wear it her whole life (hopefully)... so take as much time to save for it. She will be more impressed if its bigger. You dont want to seem stingy considering this ring represents your love for her.

of course I thought you were referring to something else when I first read this....but I think the answer is the same for both.

Size "does" matter, but not nearly as much as men believe it does. in other words....it doesn't have to be gargantuan, but it has to be enough to do the job. if a woman really loves you, the size of the diamond really doesn't matter, but it "does" signify your love for her. you don't have to drop 3 months salary on a rock......but don't go cheap just because you can and get her something she'll need a jewelers loop to see either.

The size of the diamond does not matter. If you are really in love and know he loves you then he could give you a copper ring and it would mean just as much! (But of course us girls do love big shiny diamonds!)

unless the girl is high matinece and superficial then it would to her. what i would prefer is a small diamond. or a band with small diamond set in it. something simple yet elegant. not a big rock that will always snag on your clothes and everything =)

but size doesnt matter unless she wants a big diamond. =) then she may care. someone at my work not too long ago was upset at her fiance cause he didnt propose to her wiht a larger stone. ugh...so they broke up...i hate poeple liek that.... lolits just a freakin rock...

The size of a ring stone means nothing to me. However in other areas, size most definitely CAN matter.
