Something like a rubber band is tied around the upper arm. You pump your fist to bring the vein closer to the surface. The area is cleansed. A needle is put in which you will barely feel and which lasts all of 1 second. After that you should feel nothing at all. In fact - the rubber band is more uncomfortable than the needle stick. There is honestly nothing to be afraid of - I do not like having my blood drawn but it does not hurt - other than a needle stick which hurts about as much or less than an insect bite. Good luck.

No it doesnt hurt. It feels like a pinch. It will take about 1 minute. The dr will find a vein that is big enough and sticks out enough. they will wrap something around your arm to make the vein pop out. Then take a needle and stick it in that vein. It will hurt for a second. After the blood will be drawn and she'll put a bandage on it. Done. You'll get the results back, depending on the test, in a about a week.

You take a number, when they call you . you walk in and sit down, they will put a purple strap around one arm and check for where your vein is (they will ask you to make a fist).
No it will not hurt, they are really good about taking blood nowadays you might feel a slight pinch when they put in the needle.
You don't have to watch.
It takes about 10 seconds probably less depends on how many vials they were going to take. On a normal test its usually 1. They will send the blood to the lab and you should get results from your doctor in a couple of days. Since there was a holiday it might take to the end of the week.

Here is a little trick I taught my kids for when they get shots or blood tests, and they all do it because it really works. It's actually a childbirth pain management technique, so it certainly works with something a small as a little stick. Just take a deep breath right before they stick you, and slowly let it out as they stick you. Don't hold it while they're sticking you- that actually makes it worse. Some people do better if they focus on something else in the room, and some if they watch the stick (that's me). But the secret is in letting your breath out during the stick. It helps you relax. You'll hardly feel a thing. Try it!

They will wrap a tourniquette around your arm above your elbow. It will be tight. The needle they use to draw the blood will be put in the vein in the crook of your elbow. You'll definitely feel a sharp "ping" when they stick you. It will ouch - but not as bad as if you've ever stubbed your toe walking to the bathroom barefoot in the middle of the night!
The blood draw doesn't even take a minute - even if they have to draw more than one vial of blood. And if they do draw more than one, it's all done with the same stick.
When they're done, they'll take the tourniquette off and put a bandaid on. Done!
When it's done - take yourself out for something as a treat!! -- And that gives you a little something to look forward to.
It will be fine - just remember, take a big deep breath, and, don't watch. :-)

well, if you've gotten any sort of injections before that's what it will feel like. it only takes 15-30 seconds for them to get enough blood for the sample. basically what will happen is that they will clean your arm, find a vein, insert the needle and fill 2 or 3 small viles of blood. like i said before it's very quick and there really isn't anything to worry about.

you only feel a sting... it'll just feel liek you're being stung by a bee for a second.. while it's in there it won't hurt at all.... they'll take the blood out... depending on how much blood they need to take... it'll take anywhere form 20 seconds to 2 minutes or so... .. then they take it out and you're fine... don't worry you'll do fine

it hurts a little when they put the needle in, count to ten and they should be done depending on what test you are having done. Relax, it isn't bad.

No.
Pinch.
1 minute.
Nothing is going to happen.

Stop thinking about it. It's nothing.
