A Pontiac will always beat Toyota, but if Saturn comes out with an Aura coupe that should take down both of them. Pontiac and Toyota do a lot of model sharing, and I wouldnt be surprised if those two were the same. Toyotas are heavily mass produced, which gives them more problems than Pontiac. Last year Toyota had the most recalls, but the media "failed" to notice since millions would stand against them because of thier reputation. These days reputation is nothing, technology advances so fast it cant keep up. For ex: three years ago GM was one of the worst companies, now they have the most top-rated vehicles, and the quality/reliability surpasses Toyota. Honda is still on top of the reliability ratings. Ford also had more recalls than GM and DaimlerChrysler combined, for reasons like exploding engines and wheels falling off. Here is a quote from the Washington Posts review of the Toyota CAmry "one of which is the Chevrolet Malibu, which in my real-world driving experience has been every bit as good and reliable as the much-ballyhooed Camry but has been maligned primarily because it is a Chevrolet". Oddly enough that was an '04 Malibu VS the totally redisigned '07 Camry. Common problems with Toyotas are plastic rattling until it falls off. People then complain that when they take it to the dealer to be fixed they just say "The cars are made with so much plastic its practically impossible to fix" GM is also the worlds fastest growing manufacturer, and that dosent happen by accident. About the Subaru WRX, a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO is faster, less expensive, and 4WD rally bred as well

The 07' Pontiac G6 / GTPCoupe with 3.6/V6 24 valves engine will out perform 07' Toyota Solara.
I own 2 Pontiac G6, both are 06' I had put in 14,000 miles on V6 4 door sedan, it has good gas mileage and good handling, only problem is the Panoramic sunroof has wind noise come through even after closed the sunshade.
I had put in 4,000 miles on the 06' GTP/3.9 V6 hard top convertible, I am happy with it, lots of power and better handling than the sedan, just like having 2 cars for the price of one.
Prior to the Pontiac G6, I always favored Handa, Toyota, and Nissan, but after one year of driving this Pontiac G6s, I have changed my mind.

I even have had on older altima and in basic terms offered an 08 solara convertible. i think of the two vehicles are stable- i admire the convertible characteristic and all the "issues" that come on the toyota- bluetooth outfitted in storage door opener etc... out of the two i could could desire to assert Solara all the way-- they only factor is it would not have as plenty capacity as i could like-- i admire velocity!!!!!!!! desire this facilitates!

If you're going to spend that much money, get a Subaru WRX. They are fast, fun, sporty and good looking. Plus they are AWD so they are great for racing.
