Well I am kind of in the same situation. I broke it with someone I care deeply for, but I still want the friendship & it is so hard to be around him knowing I broke it off.I did it because he doesn't feel the sameway for me as I do about him & I couldn't do that to myself anymore. Keep busy, Work, school, go out with friends, stay away from drugs & alcohol it make things a hundred times worse. You think more & you say why me. Crafts, Write,go for coffee with friends talk about, not too much that people are going to get sick of hearing it. I am one who is very kind & generouse & I wear my heart on my sleeve. There will be times you want to cry, do it but not for long & tell yourself that you don't need that person they hurt you& you don't need that,no one needs it! Been there Done that Have the shirt plenty of times.

Do everything for you. Not in a selfish way, in a healing way. Make sure that you work on who you are, outside of a relationship. Who are you as an individual, and who do you want to be in the future.
Also, take up a new hobby that allows you to interact with people, without the pressures of dating.

Don't let someone you are no longer with, rent space in your head and heart for free.
Distract yourself...take up a hobby, spend time with friends, focus more on your job or school, take a class to learn something new, join a gym and work off your emotions...
It WILL get easier as time goes on, if you let it...you have to choose not to dwell on it though and not torture yourself...masochism is out of fashion.

make Friends honey, go out with friends and try to meet new people, and don't stay friends, cos you might go back if only you want to baby, depending on how he treats you. change your phone # so he wouldn't get in touch with you girl.
