I seem to remember being told years ago that royal mail would reply (like same standard reply to each child from santa) but I think they get so many they don't do that anymore. There should be someone who does that still though but I don't think they do, I think they just chuck them unfortunatly - what u should do is intercept the letter at the post box and write a reply to ur son yourself, he'll never know!

My aunt has worked for the postal system in Missouri for many years, and here's the bad news:
Whenever kids write letters to Santa, the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny--etc, and they don't have and ACTUAL and COMPLETE address--the letters go to a file center commonly called "dead mail" in Michigan.
After a certain period of time, the letters are incinerated. Sorry guyz....

If you address it to the North Pole, most post offices have a team that will answer. If you address it to Lapland, that is where it will end up, and the Finnish post office is very good. You should get a reply, as long as your address is on the letter.

most letters end up in Narnia as some goat bastrd nicks em
well on a serious note the reason that ur trick aint working is because you are supposed to get your kid to throw the letter on the fire and the ashes magically make there way to santa

Snail mail is ok, but Santa's also gone hi-tech. You can go to claus.com and send him an e-mail. The elves will sort and Santa will reply in due time.

They go to the Post Master in your town. I think some people at least read them.
