You usually bleed pretty heavily and pass clots. I've had numerous miscarriages, at one time I was carrying twins and thought I'd miscarried. I actually miscarried one and carried the other to a live birth. There will be some abdominal pain, contracting maybe. Usually a miscarriage is tough, but has a reason behind it. If any one is pregnant and starts to bleed, even spotting, best get to the doctors immediately, there is a potential to bleed out or get infected if not treated. They can perform an ultrasound and get the status of the fetus. All the best :)

If you have even the smallest suspicion that you might be having a miscarriage, PLEASE SEE A DOCTOR. Good Luck I hope this is unfounded.
