Sounds like too much iron in the diet. Iron can constipate you and change the color. Do you give vitamins? Might want to cut back, if they have heavy iron content, or switch to a formula with less iron.

Thats a tricky question. If your child was allergic to the previous formula you would know pretty much right away. When changing formulas for children it can be pretty difficult. The childs system is already use to the original formula you were using. You have to question why the ped. wanted you to change to soy. Water is also important even though many peds. don't think so. I have seen so many underweight and sick children due to the advise of feeding from their peds. Go back to the OLD Fashion way of feeding your baby.
First make sure your original formula is not old or spoiled. If it is it can make your baby sick.
Make sure it is slightly warm just as if it were coming from a human breast. This is not only a babys food but it is s/he comfort food.
Burp your baby. Make sure to hold your baby in your arms when feeding. DO NOT prop up in a carriage with a towel holding the bottle. This will cause gastric upset.
Try these small details and your baby may tolerate the original formula better.
Try baby prunes or cook some down in a pan and feed a small amount like 2 teaspoons to unconstipate your baby. Be careful though a baby is very sensitive.
Remember a baby is just like you and me only smaller and without teeth. What makes you ill will make them ill.Good luck

The soy formula has more Iron - try Fletchers Castoria (available at CVS and Walgreen's) It is baby safe my mother used it on all 6 of us and I used it on my 3 - just give her 1/4 teaspoon and 4oz water and it should clean her tummy and relieve the constipation. To avoid future constipation you can either add 1/2 teaspoon dark Karo syrup to 2 bottles a day or try apple or prune juice instead of pear.

what's the reason of eco-friendly poop? (question submitted by ap, CrAzYMiC98 and extra than a number of alternative others) I even have consulted with a doctor, a physiologist and a microbiologist in this question, and here summarizes their solutions: healthful human beings could have eco-friendly poop in the event that they consume a eating recurring wealthy in leafy eco-friendly vegetables, or in the event that they consume great parts of nutrients coloring (in ice cream, cake frosting etc.). eco-friendly poop is often brought about by extra iron in the eating recurring, from nutritional supplementations, as an occasion. If the physique does no longer soak up each and all the iron fed on, the iron would stain the poop eco-friendly, the colour of iron (II) salts. normally, the eco-friendly coloration could be masked by the conventional brown poop coloration, yet whilst digestion is thrown off by ailment so as that bilirubin is far less targeted in the gut, the eco-friendly coloration would exchange into obvious. this would take place whilst a man or woman is troubled with diarrhea. There ya bypass! Sorry which you have pneomonia D: experience betterr!

Ummmmmmm yes.
Constipation is very bad in a baby. Also green is a sign of allergy. Gassiness and spitting up however tend to be normal in a baby.
Did you know?
"Even though soy-based artificial baby milks may be less allergenic for some babies, between 30 and 50 percent of infants who are allergic to cow's milk are also allergic to soy. "
"There is no precedent in nature for feeding young mammals a plant-based protein. In the early 1970s it was discovered that soy proteins are deficient in some amino acids that babies need. For this reason, methionine, carnitine, and taurine have to be added from other sources. Not only is soy protein deficient in some amino acids because plant protein in general does not provide the same growth equivalent as animal protein, but more needs to be added so that soy formulas have a higher level of this protein to make up for its lesser quality. According to the amino acid profile, at least in All-Soy, there is no carnitine or taurine. Even though current biochemical knowledge has fixed some of the previous problems with soy protein for babies, we are still tampering with Mother Nature's recipe, leading us to conclude that feeding soy protein to growing babies is still experimental. Plant protein is a good protein for older infants and adults, but the protein made by big mammals for little mammals is ideal for babies. "

constipation and green poop might be a sign of too much iron. maybe get another formula with less iron. also, apple juice may be better for constipation, since I usually have apples when I'm sick.

The green poop is normal but I think you should probably take her to see a doctor. And yah you should probably switch her back to her normal formula. Best of luck!

All your ped's office and explain what is going on. They should give you the best advice. If you are unhappy with them then try a different ped.
