I'm not sure if it is anorexia, but yeah, sounds like eating disorder. It would be the best if someone could get through to him - he needs to see a doctor. Let him know that you care about him, not about whether he eat or what he eats, this is why you are sending him to a doctor. He might be having a diabetis, or depression, too. Don't worry, he's unlikely to die of starvation, but yes, you should be concerned about his health.

SYMPTOMS
Anorexia (deriving from the Greek "α(ν)-" (a(n)-, a prefix that denotes absence) + "όρεξη (orexe) = appetite) is the decreased sensation of appetite. While the term in non-scientific publications is often used interchangeably with one of its subtypes, anorexia nervosa, there are many possible causes for a decreased appetite, some of which may be harmless while others pose significant risk for the person.
The most common form of anorexia is simply satiation following the consumption of food. This happens in all normal humans and is called postprandial anorexia. It is important and healthy as it prevents overeating and obesity.
Common disorders that cause (harmful) anorexia include anorexia nervosa, severe depression, cancer, dementia, AIDS, and chronic renal disease and the use of certain drugs, particularly stimulants and narcotics. Environmentally induced disorders, such as altitude sickness, can also trigger an acute form of anorexia. Anorexia may also be seen in congestive heart failure, perhaps due to congestion of the liver with venous blood.
Although the presenting symptom (the one which prompts a patient to seek medical attention) in acute appendicitis is abdominal pain, the presence of anorexia is required to make the final diagnosis.
Some medications, antidepressants for example, can have anorexia as a side effect. Most notoriously, however, chemicals that are a member of the phenethylamine family are known to have more intense anorectic properties. For this reason, many individuals suffering from anorexia nervosa seek to use these medications as a crutch. Such prescription medications include Ritalin, Adderall, Dexedrine, and Desoxyn. In some cases, these medications are prescribed to patients prior to undergoing an operation requiring general anesthesia. This is a prophylactic measure taken to ensure no food will back up into the esophagus and cause the patient to stop breathing during the procedure.

I don't know if this will work for him, but it sure kept me from not eating.... Go find the most disgusting, in depth article you can find on eating disorders. It should go into detail about what exactly your body does when you dont eat. Pictures help too. Tell him that if he doesnt eat he will die and end up like that. The article should also mention in detail about how the body digests itself when it has nothing to eat. My school has shouwn us some movies and given us some articles like that on eating disorders and while it will take away your appetite just watching or reading it, once you get over the disgust and horror, you wanna eat and never stop.
Hope this helps. Also its good if you do some research on eating disorders yourself, just so that you know what you are dealing with.

Not necessarily. Some people have problems with eating while other people are there, and there are certain religious groups that do not allow people to eat in the presence of unbelievers. He may simply be eating while he's alone.
Anorexia would be if he didn't eat period because he thinks he's too fat or because of other control issues. If he's getting steadily skinnier, then ask him why he doesn't want to eat and tell him that you're worried about him.
If it is beginning to affect his health (dizzy spells, etc) then you may need to talk to his parents or next of kin. Tell them that you're worried and suggest that they try to get him medical help.

He could have diabetes, hypoglycemia or depression. It is highly unlikely that a young man would have an eating disorder. I would rule out the other possibilities first.

Maybe ask him why he is not eating. That is a sign of anerexia or belemia. There can be very harmful effects to this.
