That doesn't make a lot of sense to anyone with a decent IQ.

No it is not racist. Any foreigner that comes to our country should be documented. That way we can keep track of them, so if anything should happen to them while they are here we can get in touch with their family. Also, it makes everything easier for them. Ya they do have go through a lot of paper work but it is for the best. They can still have the same opportunities, if not more for being here legally.

Depends on why you don't want "foreigners" in the US. If it is because you feel they are unworthy, lazy or desease ridden, then yes, it is. However, if you are you concern about a population growth our economy can't support, national security and possible threats to the safety and security of the US, or your concern is purly one of a legal nature "should we support the illegal act of crossing the border without documentation?" then probably not.

There are always two sides to every debate and most people can see their side clearly, but the other seems blurry or non-sensical. Should we close our borders to "non-Americans/non-whites? Of course not! This country was founded by, formed by, goverend by, protected by "foreigners." The influx of people to the US has long been its great asset socially, economically and morally.

However, have we gotten to a point where our econimic systems, school systems, medical systems and social systems can no longer support its current load and is certianly not in a position to accept new obligations? Probably.

Do terrorist use lax border control in countries adjoining the US to find ways to sneak over the boarder to the US and engage in terrorist activities? Yes. We already know that as a fact several of the 9/11 terrorists came to the US over the Mexico border.

So, if you think border controls should be enforced and documentation should be a must, I suppose that in and of itself is not racist. If you just don't like "foreigners" then I'd say you have some racists tendencies my friend ...

No, it it is not racist but xenophobic. It is racism if you oppose or critisise some segment of the (illegal) immigrants because of their ethnicity. Like the US setting up a wall in the Mexican border claiming it is to prevent terrorism. There are very few Muslims in Mexico and those who live there are easily controlled because of their numbers. On the other hand, there are many Muslims in Canada, so if the reason for the wall is defense against terrorist and those who want to terrorise the US are Muslims, it would be less stupid to set up the wall at the northern border.

I am a Mexican with a varied bloodline (Spanish [from Spain], Amerindian and Chinese ancestry). While I see nothing wrong with the US Government trying to limit immigration since everyone has the right to accept those guests they want and close the door to others, I find the reasons given by the US silly. It would be more honest to say "we don't want any more Latinos" than use terrorism as an excuse for shutting the door.

Racism is disease that destroys the social contract and destabilizes civilizations. The "illegal immigrant" issue remains a racist one as long as criminally greedy American employers and business owners who illegally invite and hire undocumented foreign nationals are not arrested and prosecuted. This remains a racist issue as long as American employers and businesses withhold Social Security and taxes from undocumented workers' pay and then keep it for themselves all the while pumping up the lowest common denominators among us to thinking that undocumented workers "cost" American taxpayers anything. It remains a racist issue as long as NAFTA is in full-swing and huge concentrations of wealth are occurring on both sides of the border at the expense of Mexican and U.S. working class to the tune of 20% less job opportunities and while lasting contracts and laws are being made against the working classes in both nations to protect the outsourcing of labor and to give our jobs away to other nations. This issue is not about which side of a river people hail from. It's all about jobs and a job market that is being driven by a global economy. If working class people in both the U.S. and Mexico do not unite and defend themselves on the global level against the true threat against their way of life very soon, we are all here in the Americas going to be the cheap, uneducated "outsourced" labor of the near future.

Just a bunch of negative spin.

No one wants to be labeled a racist - so it becomes a very effective tool in minimizing the outrage most people feel about illegal immigrants when the term can become synonymous with any objection one might have concerning this economic invasion.

Unfortunately, it's working - otherwise, there would be no need for you to question this particular aspect of illegal immigration.

Bottom line - for the overwelming, vast majority of people, of course it's not racist - it's trying to look out for what's best for our great nation.

Being of immigrant backgroung myself, I can tell you that being against illegal immigration has nothing to do with being racist. It's how you express your opinion on the subject and the way you treat such individuals what determines if you are racist. You have to remember that if these people had a choice, they would stay in their country instead of having to leave family and belongings behind to come to a strange country having to deal with racial slurs and mistreatment.

Your question is leading. "Racist" refers to an attitude that stereotypes people based on their race, not their nationality. Many people who oppose immigration do so on racist grounds, but you cannot simply claim a person is racist because they do not support the idea of free, undocumented immigration. Try researching some terms like "fascist" and "isolationist." Maybe those are closer to what your driving at.

What some human beings are refusing to comprehend is, no person needs human beings to return right here illegally. they could become electorate like each physique else and are available right here. the topic is that there are already thousands and thousands of unlawful immigrants so the important question is, what do you do with unlawful immigrants already right here? we can't discover all of them to deport, and that expenses US money.
