And even though they had deep discounts, their sales were down last weekend. Perhaps being inclusive (Happy Holidays) really IS more polite than being exclusive (Merry Christmas).

Either way, considering their shady business practices, I feel it is unethical for me to shop there regardless of what greeting they force their employees to say. I am surprised that so many Christians would overlook Walmart's exceptionally low-paying jobs, no/little health care, policies requiring one to work off the clock, etc. just because of the phrase they are forcing their employees to say to customers.

it's pathetic that Christians consider themselves persecuted by an inclusive greeting that acknowledges the existence of other belief systems AS WELL AS their own.
kind of like a kid having a temper tantrum if they don't get all of a parent's undivided attention.

Nope, it's depressing, becuase it just gives fuel to those intolerant people who believe that everyone should celebrate "their" idea of what Xmas should be, with no respect or consideration given to anyone else.
