We hurt OURSELVES, and in many ways.
Hatred, harbors unforgiveness, and if we are unforgiving, the Lord will not forgive us.
Also, if you do not forgive, your hatred turns to bitterness, and that will affect your future relationships, your outlook on life, and your Spiritual walk.

First, we hurt ourselves. However our attitude and behaviour will be affected, andd so we endo up harming a lot of others. Then too, the Holy Spirit of God is grieved.
I believe after a certain amount of time, it is impossible to hate just one person. Hate grows, and becomes too big for just one object, and starts finding other objects as well.
As a teenager, I hated almost everyone I knew! It started with hating just one person.
When I came to know jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour, that just disappeared, and during the 40 years since then, hatred really has not been a part of my life.

Well, frankly, i think you hurt yourself more when you let hate build inside you. It creats negative energy and makes you unhappy. The best way is to find peace within ones self and learn to forgive. Easier said than done, but believe me, it gets better with time.

We need to start being positive because our world is going down the potty

You are Hurting yourself....That's the only person ....You only have control on the way you see a problem, and how you react to anyone who has harmed you or that person you feel that has done you some kind of injustice

Dear Red Queen, I have always liked the expression: "When we hate someone, it's like taking arsenic and expecting it to harm the other person." So true, isn't it? Best wishes.

Obviously we are hurting ourselves because we are holding on to pain that can't touch that person. We destroy our own lives when it comes to holding grudges because we are trapped in hate that's directed but kept boiling in our souls.

We are hurting ourselves regardless of who or what we believe in because hate destroys your heart and soul and weighs it down heavily. Why carry hate angry and bitterness?

We are hurting ourselves and hurting God. We are making our souls dark and hard and God doesn't want us to be like that because he loves and cares for us all.
