First I'd want to know if you were a Christian. If you are not, then that would be the ultimate first step. As a Christian we need to rely on the fact that the future is ultimately in the hands of Him who created it all. In fact the whole concept of time, past present and future were His creation. People who are locked into the thinking of mankind, who don't seem to want to believe in G-d, have no certainty to rely on. They rely on science and the idea that man is the center of everything. This is called essentially humanism and it is basically anti-G-d or Anti-Christian. For proofs of G-d's existence, and that He is in charge, the link listed below contains some arguments for the faith that I've constructed (with G-d's help), and links to other sources.

Get rid of any "end times" books. They are printed by the millions because they exploit peoples fear and ignorance.
Take a short relaxation course. Relaxation excercises have nothing to do with transcendental meditation or any of that crap. They are available at libraries, recreation centres, etc.
Have lots of children. Raise them up well so they will make a better future.

Have hope in the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who is gone to prepare a home for us.
On the new earth, in which righteousness dwells, God will provide an eternal home for the redeemed and a perfect environment for everlasting life, love, joy, and learning in His presence. For here God Himself will dwell with His people, and suffering and death will have passed away. The great controversy will be ended, and sin will be no more. All things, animate and inanimate, will declare that God is love; and He shall reign forever. Amen. (2 Peter 3:13; Isa. 35; 65:17-25; Matt. 5:5; Rev. 21:1-7; 22:1-5; 11:15.)

Since I accepted Jesus I don't really fear the future. I know I will be spending eternity with Jesus in Heaven, and He has everything under control.

One day at a time, like everything else. Prepare what you can ahead of time, be flexible, and cultivate friends so you can hold each other up during the bad times. Worry is often more dangerous than actual experience. And remember how far you've already come.

it's very hard not to fear things you have no control over...just plan for things for the future and if everything goes right, you will have control of your future....

Live in "the now". Don't think about the future or past ... but always live in the moment.

If you are doing the right things you shouldn't fear anything. If something happens to you that is not your fault, it was ment to happen. If something happens to you because of something you done, you need to learn from your misstakes. Fear is not of God, it is of the devil.
