be respectful don't lie and be yourself woman likes a respectable gentlmen not some hound dog that dissrespect call them ol'lady and girl and have them pay for everything. The first impression is alwayas the last. If your go out its like i'll pay for dinner and she pays for pool or mini golf don't go to the movies at first. you can't talk at the movies.and complment but not every 5 mins.

What impresses me the most is all the old-fashion gentleman sort of things like:
1. calling etiquette, like calling days in advance to make plans for the weekend. This shows that you were thinking about me, and being considerate that I might plan a weekend before Friday afternoon. Also calling if you are going to be late. And don't call too late at night.
2. holding the doors open, including the car doors if it's not too awkward. It's just really polite.
3. paying for the date. Not talking about how expensive it is or complaining about money.
4. complimenting me. Whether it is my outfit or my eyes, something you say, could make my night. "You're beautiful" always melts my heart.
5. not trying to go too far on the first date. It really impresses me if you want to go farther, but only give me a soft, nice peck the first night.
6. watching your language. No crude language or jokes. I'm not one of the boys.
7. dressing and smelling nice. Your clothes say a lot about who you are and how you take care of yourself. Cologne is just great.

I disagree with the people who say to be yourself. You are going on a date, and if you are always sloppy, lazy, or just crude, you won't make it too far in my book.

So far it looks like Pirate is the only one who really understands herself (and women). The best way to impress a woman is to NOT try to impress her, get it? By trying to impress her, you are acting like the other ten thousand guys who have already tried to get with her and failed. You can set yourself apart by acting different and like a MAN. Tease her, challenge her, show her you're not afraid of her, do things most other guys don't have the balls to do like playfully make fun of her and take control of the situation... yes, dominate her. Always do it in a light manner and don't be too serious (everything with a sly grin on your face), and you will impress her. Being yourself is the worst advice out there, because guess what? Some guys are just horrible with women, and they won't get any dates by "being themself." Others guys who do get girls are just lucky enough to be "naturals" or really good looking. You don't get a job by "being yourself"... first you have to go to school and learn things for years and years, and train yourself, so it is definitely NOT being yourself. However, you don't need to completely change your personality to attract women. You just need to do some of the things that attract women, like I have mentioned above, and implement them into your own unique personality. Practice makes perfect. Once you get the girl(s), you can reveal more and more of your personality to her as time goes on, GRADUALLY. Do not just tell her you love her or think she is sexy. This is what the other guys all do. So just remember: impress by being different.
