Laxatives work on the lower intestine, where food goes after been digested, so really they do not help in weight loss. The only reason some people find laxatives work is because it makes them have horrible stomach cramps, the 'runs' and feel ill, so ill that they don't feel like eating much.

Laxatives and diuretics might help you loose some litters of water, which will eventually come back the day you stop them. With that water, will go your strength and, mainly, your healthy heart.
Stopping salt altogether, even if a bit harmless, will achieve the same result: loose 1 litter: have it back after 3 cups of tea!
Why don't you try a good amount of carbohydrates (mainly slow ones), a fair one of proteins and just a bit of fat?

DON'T DO IT!! I cannot stress how seriously dangerous it is.
You will mess up your bowels, it really bloody hurts and you won't be able to open your bowels properly for a long time.
Basically when you want to take a dump your body won't be able to do it properly because it gets used to the laxatives.
Seriously, its not worth the hassle, you'll only be losing water!

with prolonged use of laxatives your anal and sphincter muscles start to deteriorate and therefore you end up not being able to control your bowel movements for any time you just poop where you stand. hence its not a good idea not even as a quick fix

hope this advice helps you

i know a girl who lost weight this way, but she's a mess now.
she is big boned, the whole family is, she wasn't fat, but she was unhappy so tried it, yes she lost weight, was miserable and looked ill.
Eventually she went to the doctors and luckily he stopped her and put her on the straight and narrow and shes back to her normal weight and happy again, its not just the weight you loose, its your health that suffers too, please don't think about doing it

You will lose weight, but in an unhealthy way. You'll lose mostly water, but will have to replace this to avoid getting dehydrated.

I'm sorry you don't like me.

Its unhealthy to take too many as the vitimans and minerals through your food are flushed away too quick for your body to absorb them.
