Just because you have a scoliosis does not mean that is what is causing your symptoms. Sometimes having a slight scoliosis is actually a good thing (your spine will be better able to handle the compressive forces put through it). I suggest you ask your doctor for a referral to a Physical Therapist. Your PT would be able to examine you and determine the cause of your symptoms as well as to determine what kind of scoliosis you have (structural vs functional). Your doctor can also obtain spinal x-rays which can help to determine the severity.

Would suggest you get an evaluation by a doctor of Chiropractic.. There has to be a reason for a scoliosis to develop.. if not from a congenital malformation. Most people find no relief or very little from the med direction. Thus allowing the condition to progress until the only relief is from surgery.
