Hi Nick...consider ringing your pediatrician to discuss the concerns. Cat feces contains toxoplasmosis and other parasites which may cause some stomach distress, usually/mostly diarrheoa if it was ingested. It's better to err on the safe side than take a chance especially if there's any chance your son has a low immune system. Most kids just get a bad tummy ache and some diarrhoea. If he just picked it up and touched it, washing the hands thoroughly should abate any problems.

How awful, and scary on a mothers part. Ok, I would advice you calling a Doctor right away. Cats may just eat, canned food, and kibble, but they eat mice and other lil creatures that carry disease, and ring worms. Its something as a mother,I wouldnt chance. The Emergency room would probley pump out his stomach in this case.

I am not sure if your saying he ate it. If he didn't have him wash his hands. If he did BRUSH his teeth. He might be sick to his stomach but there is probably nothing in there that will have any longterm effects. If your really nervous call your doctor.

Call your DR. There are many things in a litter box that are harmful. Amonia residue is one that I would be most concerned about.

Just what picked it up? Ate it? If he ate it I'd say he might get a little sick but I doubt it. If he picked it up make him wash his hands he'll be fine.

Did your son eat it? If he did, I'd call my doctor immediately. The litter itself might be harmful to him.

Sick. It's not the best thing for you, but I wouldn't worry too much. What's more disturbing is that he didn't spit it out as soon as it hit his tongue.

Well...if he swallowed it, he'll probably throw up. Your best bet is to call his pediatrician (or the one on call at the ER) and see what they have to say.
