True, when the leaders twist the laws for their own purposes. I agree 100 %

But that does not mean that Religion and government is bad, just that we should not allow people to manipulate us for their OWN good by twisting it.

Churches don't influence government.People do.Thomas Jefferson helped to write the Constitution, which was based on the Bible.If he was refering to Jews or Catholics, he was probably talking about a theocracy, which our present form of government doesn't subscribe to. People will always avail themselves for their own purposes.That's our nature, and our lowest grade of ignorance.

When the President was asked if he asked for advice from his dad, he replied that it was God the Father who gave him advice. So...yeah! President has Jehovah as his #1 advisor. Hard to beat that.
