The reason the style isnt staying is b/c you do not have the proper cut to support it.

Flipping the hair out requires a razor cutting technique that thins the ends of the hair shaft allowing it to flip out or under. If your hair is all one length and thick and heavy the minute you walk around the weight of the hair will pull the style out.

The proper way to style such a cut would be to apply a gel b4 blowing dry and using a round brush help the hair take shape until it is dry. Then you would go back with a curling iron and curl the hair outward inthe directions you need it to. Apply a little aersol spray and or wax to hold the style and thats it. But like I said before without the right cut this style will not work out for you the way you want it to. No matter how much time and or products you try to use!

To flip your hair, you have to wash your hair first with shampoo then use a conditioner. It's better and easier to work on a clean and comfortable hair. Then use the hair drier to dry each bundle at a time. Each time you finish a bundle, roll it up in a roller or using a hair pin. The hair rolled should face away from your head if you want a flip to the outside. Just the opposite if you want an inner flip.

After finishing doing this step for all of your hair, keep the rollers or hair pins for few minutes up to an hour depending on your hair. The longer you keep it the better result you get.

Later, remove the rollers or hair pins carefully without messing the roll that you did, then immediately spry the ends of the hair. Hair spry container should not be sprayed close to the hair, but spraying should be from a distance.

Hope this technique is explained clearly and helpful.

Try applying a very rich volumizing conditioner on the ends. You then can blowdry your hair with a curling brush going throught it, you should turn the brush at an angle when you get to the bottom. Hairspray and long hair wax, will help for the style to last longer.

Apply a volumizing mousse, blowdry your hair, apply hairspray and use a round brush and blowdry to flip hair.

Try spraying your hair before you flip it out, that gives it a tad bit more hold. Also you can try hair wax, you apply this after you flip it out and it gives it that peicey look. Good luck!
