Where does bile produced by your liver go if you have had your gall bladder removed?

My gall bladder was removed years ago and I went to a Reiki Master and she said I needed to cleanse my liver, plus I have been having pains in that area of my abdominal cavity...just wondering where the bile goes?

The bile is emptied into the small intestine via the bile duct.
