i have an ibookg4 and im afraid to download photoshop because im afriad it will slow it down alot, help?

i got the laptop last october. I wanna make things like avatars and edit images, but im afriad if i download a trial thing, or the actual software, my computer will slow down alot. should i?

Having Adobe Photoshop installed on your computer doesn't have any effect on your computer's performance unless it's running. Your computer might slow down while you're using Photoshop, which is to be expected, but it should run the same as it does now when you quit Photoshop.
