There is a passage that says how the Lord created the sun and moon to watch us day and night, so we always have one of them watching us. Does anyone know what verse/passage this is? Thanks!

The reason I'm asking is becuase my pastor yesterday told us that there are two things that watch us each and everyday, and we see them all the time. Someone mentioned that it was the moon and sun, and that there was scripture to back it up....If its NOT the sun and mood, does anyone know what it is? I thought it was the sky and earth, but who knows...I searched a bit on tbiblegateway but coudn't find it...thanks :)

Could it be something like the "sun to rule by day" and the "moon and stars to rule by night" maybe??

If so, that would be found in Psalms 136:8-9.

Peace be with you.

No results were found for "sun and moon to watch us" in the King James Version. 100% It's not a passage.

I don't think the Lord created the sun and moon to watch us day and night; where did you get that from?!

However, in Genesis 1:16 it says, And God made the two great light-bearers, the greater light-bearer to rule the day and the lesser light-bearer to rule the night, and the stars.
Hope that helps!

Try using Biblegateway.com with your search. Or a good concordance like Strong's.
