Kristin Make that appointment today .......A Psychiatrist has heard it all ..they will ask you questions when you first go they have to make an evaluation so relax and let the doctor ask you the questions....You never just go in and start talking THESE ARE DOCTORS they know how to take care of you...please do not be afraid I promise you you will be ok....luv kara

Tell your gp that you posted a question on the internet and you got lots of answers saying you should see a psychiatrist.

when i first went to the doctor i was scared to tell them everything that i was thinking i mean if they only knew how unstable i was i thought they'd immediatley want to stick me in a psyche ward but they didn't i was brutally honest about what was going on inside me head. If your not being totally honest about whats going on there's not way they can help you like you should belive me.They are psychiatrist and are used to hearing everything under the sun so belive me they won't be suprised or shocked to hear what you have to say! Trust them you need proper help with this and i can only imagine how mentally exhausted you are with yourself

well i think it would be so much easier to load off your problems and thoughts on a complete stranger than someone you know. the GP or psychiatrist are there specifically to help us.they will listen to our problems and then they will try to help us and seek the answers to our problems that we need. so i would tell you to go seek advice from a professional

Just make an appointment and stop thinking so much. You are trying to come up with reasons that you can't go.

You need to be honest with him so that he can treat you accoridingly. If you feel to "embarrassed" to verbally speak the words than write them all down before your appointment and hand him your "notes." You should not be embarrassed; he has heard it all before. And he will not be judgemental. Best of lock to you!

I don't blame you... that would be extremely difficult and scarry. I think that running it by us first, is a good first step. I don't know where you live but, there should be a help line that you can call and talk to someone anonymously.

Have you taken acid or mushrooms before these hallucnations appear. They will often make you hallucinate, I have heard.
