It depends on how much it costs and how long the flight is. You do get more comfortable seats and more leg room in premium class. You also rarely have children in premium classes. For me it's totally worth it (although I'm a frequent flier and get upgraded for free, but I would pay for it gladly if I had to) because I can't stand being around kids on planes, I like to be able to cross my legs if I want (long legs really like the extra leg room), and I love getting off the plane first.

Premium class offers more leg room, bigger seats, free drinks, choice of menu, some chairs convert into sleeping berths,
It depends how much you have to pay for the upgrade in comparison to the length of the flight and how much comfort you want.

Paying extra to get into the airlines lounge is definately worth it, premium class on the aircraft I would say depends on the length of the flight and your requirement for extra space.

Premium class is worth purely for the extra space. If your boss is paying, upgrade. If you're paying, would you rather have the extra space or the money to spend on your holiday?

I've done that once, and no I did not feel it was worth it. You get somewhat larger (but still rather cramped) seats, a full meal for free (as opposed to paying for snacks in economy class), and use of the airline's airport lounge. For the difference in cost, though, the amenities were few.

Yes, but only at least one of the following conditions is met;
1) Your company is paying for it.
2) The flight is over 5 hours.
3) You have enough money and are willing to do it.

i think of maximum folk use known flyer miles for improvements or award return and forth, i understand I do. or you're the two very rich, can write it off (or the two) or fortunate adequate to artwork for a business corporation that still flies their workers 1st classification and likewise writes it off as an cost. I fly generally and have flown corporation classification dozens of circumstances and 1st classification some circumstances, yet in basic terms as quickly as did I ever pay for it out of my very own pocket.

if you can afford to have an upgrade, then do so, the difference is just a wider seat, more wines, more free meals and use of the airport VIP lounge.

if normally you can't afford e.g. your boss is paying etc then yes it is brilliant in the short term, really good!
In the long term though you will normally be flying coach class and resent the fact that you don't get all the luxuries, like metal cutlery, that the toffs up front are getting ;)
