She is really articulate and also sensitive for a 3 year old. I am not worried about the themes, they will probably go over her head, but are there any scary parts? or super sad parts?

My three year old loved it. There are no really scary parts. A few mild scares, causing my boy to say "Oh, no!" at one point, but that was about it. It's mostly singing and dancing.

There's a part where a seal tries to attack Mumble which made me jump cause I wasn't expecting it. And there's a part where killer whales attack the penguins. The themes in it are a little overly envirnomental and had the movie not contained it, it could have just been a cute movie about penguins. The envirnomental activist hype kinda ruined it though. But I mean, the rest of the movie's good. I would wait til the movie came out on video before letting your daughter see it as the intense scenes would be a little less big and frightening that way.

If she will sit through a movie, she will enjoy it. It is a bright, cheerful kid's movie. A few sad parts, but nothing over the top. Movie Mom at Yahoo movies has a good review for parents to read.

I took my 3 kids and they found it fairly boring as far as adventure goes. 3 year old, 8 year old, and 11 year old. There are absolutely NOOO scary parts.
