A lot of it is to do with immigration.
We sent missionaries to Africa a couple of hundred years ago to aid us in stealing natural resources and making locals feel dirty and worthless (the Victorians loved nothing more than making everyone feel dirty, they were all sado masochists).
I live in London and get lectured by Nigerians on an almost daily basis at work about the different sins of my life. And my best friend who I live with is going out with some nutty Greek orthodox bird who believes all gays and lesbians will be wiped from the earth in a fiery cataclysm.
We reap what we sow my friend. We reap what we sow.

are you not some kind of Atheists fundamentalist??
Chritianity is a small religion in the UK, Islam is the fasting growing religion converting churches to Mosques around Britian.
You flick onto a God UK channel and then become shocked that it is about God?!!
You attend a christian day at the Christian union and become shocked that most people are christians?!!
don't christians have rights as well just like other religions?

Bit of religion and morality might not do us any harm.
I'm white english middle class of christian backgound although I wouldn't consider myself at all religious (only go to churches for weddings and funerals); but I have to say that of all the people talking in the media about the state and decline of our beloved England the one voice that I respect and deserves an audience is Dr J Setanmu the Archbishop of York.
I don't care what his religious background is he's hugely endowed with common sense and a faith that we can regain all that we feel we've lost.
Is this only possible because he's a religious leader or could a politician do it?

firstly, you go to the 3rd best college in the country and you can't even spell college or whether?
and secondly, while i'm an atheist i see no harm in religion. I've noticed that lots of people have found religion gives them strength and encouragement to get through things they might not have been able to. to some people its a way of dealing with things, and whats wrong with that?
Thirdly, why can't religious people support Bolton?
Fourthly, this country is traditionally a christian country so even though i dont believe in christianity, i will only be disturbed by religion when christianity ceases to be our country's main religion as it's part of our identity.

Do you really think there's a re-growth of religion in the UK? I can't say that I've noticed it. Perhaps I need to get out more. :)
I think it's fair to say that more and more people are basically atheist, but will call themselves Christian simply to conform. Can someone who openly admits that they only ever go to church for weddings and funerals really call themselves a Christian?
Put it this way, if these so called Christians were given a questionnaire which asked what religion they were, but it stated that you'd be expected to give a donation to the church of your choice should you call yourself religious, I wonder how many would suddenly become atheists?!

why are you so disturbed about religion? what did it ever do to you? if you hate that tv show or the christian union at your college so much why did you watch the show and spend enough time in the room with the christian people long enough to count how many atheists were there? i think you are intrigued by religion but are too scared to join. don't be you'll find christian people the friendliest people around. don't feel threatened by them they will help you if you need them too. if you however decide to continue your litte vendetta against chistian people then i suggest you stop. you are in a way coinciding with these peopl you are chosing to hate. think about you have chosen to BELEIVE that god does not exist christians have chosen to beleive they do. you are both beleiving therefore you are both faithful people. you have faith in your ow imagination and opinion therefore you have the faith in the same thing!

I am pleasantly disturbed. Society is letting the individual down. We are just here so the elite can do their own thing in comfort. Very few politicians manage to stay true to their ideals as their time in politics goes on.
So on the outside there is not a lot left to believe in. It turns people inwards. It makes them wonder what it is all about. Others need to be lead, they have no sense of direction and can only follow.

I'm not disturbed by it. By the way, I'm a Christian and would love to see a regrowth of religion. Also, I totally agree with an Atheist for once in my life - read Mark H's comments - I couldn't agree more.

I project you to help the indisputable fact that it really is growing better violent with sturdy information drawn from a majority of the international places international huge, no longer chosen from the rustic, uk, South Africa or the different unmarried usa or team of a few international locations. Now study it with the Taiping rebel in China from 1850 to 1864 in which something like 25,000,000 died. study the staistics with the genuine homicide prices in London on the top of the 18th century, or in the rustic in the technique the 19th century as an party. the genuine prices, no longer the prices in the thoughts about the "sturdy previous days". in case you are able to not discover historic violence prices then examine the present crime prices in the rustic state through state and study them with the religiousity prices, state through state. or you may want to study the rustic with better secular western ecu international locations or Australia and New Zealand. you may want to correctly be taken aback that the reality is amazingly diverse from what you imagine. between the excuses that individuals have a tendency to ignore faith as they alter into better ideal knowledgeable is than too most of the religious make claims that are unsupported through any style of actuality, measurement or rationality. some are fairly ludicrous, which include the meant borehole to hell, others are just about as undesirable like the so-referred to as rapture or the indisputable fact that the Earth is purely quite a few thousand years previous. i'm completely conscious that many sects do no longer assert those yet they have a tendency to get tarred with an same brush used on those that do. exceedingly because they in many cases haven't got the middle to assert they don't agree loudly sufficient or usually sufficient.
