First of all, the majority of women would be rejected if they applied for the position of stripper. You have to look a certain way to get hired, and have you been to the DMV lately? Secondly, the life-span of a career in stripping is very short. When the boobs sag past the g-string, its hard for guys to get the dollar bills in there. Lastly, why should anyone have to use their bodies for money? Women who use their minds in their occupations should be compensated the same as men in the same occupation. So there, I answered your question, you sexist pig!

okay then what are the 'Heavy' women or 'Ugly' women supposed to do if only the 'Hot Ones' make 6 figure salaries. Woman can succeed in many high salary jobs but earn less on average than their male counterparts this is an actual fact. This does not mean that they don't have the right to have a 'Real' job or resort to degrading themselves by stripping for dollars in front of a bunch of men. Would you want your daughter to be stripper, how about your sister, mom, grandmother, etc. By now you should get the point. Enjoy your answers because you are going to touch a nerve.

Well, we don't all become strippers because
1) we are not all "hot" and therefore would not make a decent salary, according to your figuring
2) we may have ambitions besides taking our clothes off for a living, like becoming a CEO or the President or an astronaut (or heck, even a mother!)
3) many of us think stripping is demeaning and feel that women are worth more than what might be stuffed in their thong for dancing in front of a bunch of drunk horny sexist pigs... not that you are one, of course.... :P
Why do women complain that men make more than we do? Well, if the situation was reversed, wouldn't you complain if all of your female coworkers got promotions and raises ahead of you simply because they have boobs? I'm not saying that's the case for every woman in every job- I'm lucky enough not to have to deal with this myself- but the "glass ceiling" does still exist.
If you can't see women as human beings, not just walking vaginas, then I guess you won't understand why not all of us our willing to degrade ourselves for your pleasure just for a few measly bucks. Money isn't the issue- it's respect.

The main reason that strippers make as much money as they do is because most women do not want to strip and there is large amount of men who want to see naked women. So huge demand, small supply. If women entered the exotic dancing profession on mass, the amount of money they would make would just be above the waitress that brings you the drinks in the club.
The criticism is not that there are some jobs that make more, it is that women do not make the same amount as men in the same profession.
I believe in the case of male strippers, they do not make nearly as much money as the women. Many men who are willing to take off their clothes, few women to watch.
By the way why did you post this question in this section?

The market would be flooded and then strippers all over the country would not make as much cash. I'm sure this is my reason for being a teacher and not a stripper.
What do you do for a living? Maybe you should make some inroads and go undercover... explore the industry. That may provide the insight you are looking for.
Don't think you are a sexist pig. Your question doesn't rate that high...

Well, most women don't find that acceptable. In a lot of cases, not all, women must be broken down to where they feel like nothing to do those things. A stripper is a high-paying job, because there is a lot of self-concious conflict that goes on in a woman's mind. Many women feel that becoming a stripper violates their self-worth, which I agree with. Not that it can't be bought back...

Maybe this is because you are only asking women that have the same answer.
I do not complain that men make more. Women have come a long way in the last 100 years plus.
Work hard and reap the rewards, and that goes for both sexes, whether you are a dancer or not.

Stripper may make a 6 figure salary, but for only a short period of time. If you look at lifetime salaries......stripping ain't so lucative baby. Not to mention the fact that you have no health insurance, dental coverage, vision coverage, etc. Gotta pay for that outta pocket, and it can be expensive depending on your age. Mine costs $400 a month for medical only, with a $500 ded. Luckily, I am not a stripper, and my employer pays it.

Where do people get the idea that success is financial wealth or surrounding yourself with material decadence? Rich people still commit suicide, become alcoholics, drug addicts, experience emotional issues and have mental breakdowns... A successful life is a person who realizes that the wisdom of enlightenment, when sought, is obtained from the journey, not camping out inside a mansion surrounded by the illusion of success! A woman that makes money a priority or that seeks wealth isn't worth being around!

I know that i personally don't become a stripper because i respect my body. Men can make that kind of money with their minds - why can't women?
