I use vlc for cue files and divx for avi real player can play avi's too.

http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

on this page its on the line at top click on the word download then choose windows then click a location

To download torrents get Utorrent then search http://www.torrentspy.com for torrents (films games etc)
if you get a rar file you use winrar to open the files its like winzip cue files can be played on Vlc player and burnt using a cd and nero (nero can be downloaded from torrents free) avi files played with divx player or try real player i burn them with divx as i have a divx decoder on my dvd player but you can convert avi into other formats for the dvd player you have at home if you are wanting to burn.
