From the other answers you've gotten, you can see that some guys have short attention spans.

If he asked you out, it means he likes you.

I don't recommend trying to analyze him too much using your own behavior and feelings as a yardstick, however. No, he won't act the same you do. He's his own person, after all.

To answer your question -- yes, when I liked a girl, I thought about her. Not "all day", but yes, I thought about her. Contrary to the common belief, not all men have one-track minds, so thoughts will vary over a variety of topics such as:

-Work
-What's on TV tonight
-That guy just flipped me off! I should.... (do something stupid)
-The Vikings really are lousy
-I wonder how old these leftovers are...

You get the idea.

Guys do love, but never express it properly, even if they tried hard to, the only way to really figure a guy out is to test their loyalty and devotion, how far are they willing to go for that relation to work, a lot of guys does not like their flings to be public, like he would never engage in any family activity that would have others notice how he treats, talks and looks at her where he might be caught trying to spend the most quality time he could and then say Thank you Mam!! A guy would fall for a girl that in your case would come to his place but act in a formal way and never let his imagination control the scene, we are always prepared, we draw the whole plan in response to your actions, we might like you now but your action can make us hate you but still take the advantage that you are currently under control. Be confident and have a very high self esteem but yet full respect to the other party. Good Luck.
From my side, I do day-dream but of the kind of life that I would love to have with that girl starting now and ending no less than 1000 years from now, if I day dream of the girl only, I will be dreaming between her belly button and knees!!
Remember, what ever is real is a mixture of love, passion, pain, drama, and so on, if it built only on nice and cool stuff it is not real or not meant to be real. "Sorry if talk allot"

I would love to tell you what you want to hear, but I try to be honest. We have fleeting thoughts about girls/women we are attracted too. The reasoning is not out of spite or lack of caring, but boys/men tend to become creatures of logic (misunderstood or misguided logic counts), where you ladies tend to dwell in the emotional aspects encrouching on your existence. However, it sounds like he likes you. After dinner, while you are chit-chatting, kiss him. Don't plan it, don't try to justify the timing. Just do it and then any barriers he may feel necessary, he will put into place. At least your feelings will be known and any guy wants a kiss from a girl he cooked for.

Well, if he asked you to have dinner at his place, I'd say he is interested/trying to get to know you better. It depends on the guy. Being a guy myself, eh...yea..we kinda do daydream about that girl...or just think about her...>> maybe think on what to say..if we see her again..or..what to plan..things like that. As for email or call, most of the times I'd say it's helpful when she calls/emails because it makes us feel that she's interested you know.
