Okay..I have abnormally gained weight in the last few months and I think it may be due to recent health problems. I haven't been eating much and I haven't been eating in large quantities the once or twice I eat a day. Can someone please let me know what the quickest thing is because it is driving me nuts! I can't stand this. I used to be heavy and lost a lot of weight and kept it off for over two years..All of a sudden I encounter a health problem, while I'm still trying to figure out what it is and why I'm gaining so much weight?..Please help.

One of the surest ways to lose weight is to consume less calories than what you are going to burn that day. However, if you are not eating enough your body goes into a survial mode. Your body does need so many calories to maintain its regular functions and if you are cutting it too close your body starts to store calories and fat. So when you eat again you are actually doubling your calories intake due to the stored reserves. Instead of eating your one to two meals you should be eating 5-6 smaller meals throughout the day. This will keep your metabolism going and you will actually burn more calories throughout the day. Try to consume more protein than carbs, it will cut down on adding fat and will promote muscle.

It is actually dangerous for people to lose more than 1 pound of fat a week. The way you lose weight is by taking in less calories than you burn. The body burns on avg of 1400 calories a day by just doing the basic things. So it is bad to eat less than 1400 calories a day. The best way to lose weight is NOT by going on these quick and fast programs that are on TV. By doing these it will through your body's balance off and causing you to actually gain more weight and that's why companies make and sell these. So people will buy more. The BEST way to lose weight is simple exercise.

A lot of that could be in the fact that you AREN'T eating much, also the quality of your food. What types of things do eat in a typical day?
