Can Babies Die From Jaundice

Jaundice is a symptom of liver problems. You can die from liver problems but not the jaundice itself. Jaundice occurs when the breakdown of old blood cells occurs and the liver is unable to remove the billirubin and it shows up as yellow color to skin and whites of eyes.
Jaundice in babies which is usually from liver not being all the way formed usually resolves itself and if left untreated it can cause mental retardation.
But as far as death it would be the liver and not jaundice that caused the death.

No, but jaundice can be a symptom of many other things. Like Hepatitis, live cancer or liver failure, etc. You may want to go get tested for a couple different things.

People do not die from jaundice (no capital J). Jaundice is a symptom not a disease.
