That is channeling your negative into a positive. However, I would say love kicks hates ***. EXAMPLE: If somebody tries to destroy that which I hate, it does nothing for me. Somebody tries to destroy that which I love turns me into the Angel of Death! A merciless killing machine designed to thwart your design of ruining my existence. Since I love very few things though, this has yet to come into play. Hint: Lave my family alone and you will not be harmed.

I think that depends on what kind of hate or love you are using. When I'm angry at my husband, I have plenty of energy to clean too. However, if my son was in danger, I would have to say that would be a time when I am more motivated.
I love lavender colored things but I wouldn't pick one over my kids or anything. You know what I mean?
Hate can be very motivating but it shouldn't be used long-term for motivation.
However, I do believe anger is good for something. Cleaning being the first and foremost!

Anger is a strong emotion but a negative one. It depends on how it is channeled. Cleaning the house is a good channel. If getting the house cleaned dissipates your anger, that is good. Just don't hold on to it beyond the clean house! : )
Overall, I think love is far more motivational in life than hate. Feelings of anger/hate, make me feel low. When I am feeling love, I feel as though I can accomplish anything.

It really is an interesting question.
Hitler succeeded because he was able to incite hate toward the Jewish people. Some fundamentalist leaders of various religions use hate of other groups to advance their cause. Some politicians do as well.
How often does any leader use love to successfully motivate a following? Christ did, of course, but look how many times his teachings have been perverted to incite hate.
It would seem that it is easier to motivate by hate.
That is why those of us who follow Christ must remember that love is "above all".

It depends what you want "done". Yes, hate could cause you to be more energetic, burning off negative feelings. But I think love is more motivating (you COULD clean the house because you love the people who live there).
Also, love lasts longer. Hate takes too much effort to maintain and (usually) fades over time. Love does not, if it's nurtured.

Hate does motivate, but the out come is never good. It's hard not to be negative, I myself find it hard not to be negative or hateful when for example my co-worker makes it hard for me though her lies and deseption with our company or cause us money or time from mistakes. I sometimes say I hate her, but it's not really her, but what she has done and I disagre with her motives behind the things she has done.
There is something that comes from hate I'm not sure of what it is to be honest. I find my self enraged or angered from things that happen I can't control. So it manifest it self and causes me to dislike or 'hate' someone over things they have done instead of looking past things I reflex back on them and it's somewhat what you describe.
I think it's however good when you can move past hate and be motavated to use what you have to offer in a positive way. Corny as it sounds, but we all want happiness, joy etc, however part of us also wants to be loved and share kindness and love with someone not a stranger, so i wish i knew how to take that energy from the 'hate' and use it towards something positive for you.
Maybe take that energy and use it towards something to help others? Corney i know, but you'll feel better if you can.

They are both great motivational tools, but unlike love, hate is very unhealthy and destructive. It is also very difficult to manage and it does not bring happiness.

If you want to please God and man you will have a clean house and yard.....these things show others what kind of person you are and they trust or avoid you accordingly
So love of felloman and self tells you to live a good life.

So true.
Anger or hate is a stronger emotion.
Why is that?
Love is calming but hate, look out!
It makes you want to do crazy things.
Good point.

Love is more motivational. Do you do stuff for your family out of love, or hatred?
