My son's teacher was fired last week
and it will take the school about a month to find a replacement.
My son doesn't want to go now because he liked the other teacher.
Also it took him about 3 months to warm up to school and now this happens.
Don't know what to do.
any advise would be helpful!

Also another parent in my son's class was the reason she got fired for a mistake that the teacher made. I thought she was an excellent teacher and think she should not have been fired!

Does he have friends in his class? Does he have other sibilings in school. If this happened in my family we would have one of the other kids take him to his class for awhile. I might even go the first couple of days if I felt I needed to. It is hard for kindergardeners. Encourage him and tell him that he is going to get a new teacher for a new year!! Or a new teacher for Christmas if that is going to be a possiblity. In the end if all else fails you might have to take him to school for a few days until he is comfortable with the new teacher. I'm sure that the school will try to find a new teacher asap. I sincerely hope that this helps you.

There is very little you will be able to do to change the situation.

You are the adult, and your son needs to understand that sometimes things happen that you can't control. Also, you are in charge and he will do as you say, include going to school.
