Depends on the woman, but to most: Yes. If there are two men identical in every aspect except wealth, the woman will go for the one with more money. Some girls for some reason enjoy dating complete white-trash losers but I think it is a psychological thing (i.e. they have low self-esteem). A select few women are truly loving and generous and will actually love a man for who he is, not affected at all by status, prestige, or money, but again, most women will be more attracted to the "successful" guy. Why do you think they like doctors and lawyers? Exactly. Men are superficial when it comes to looks, and women are superficial when it comes to social status and money. It's a fair game I'd say.

That depends. The girl might not be trying to be greedy or anything but either way you gotta have a back up you know. Women try to look for men that can support them emotionally and someone who can also be there to help financially as well. In most cases, they tend to overlook the whole thing about being rich or not, but you'd also like to be able to help her out financially. I don't think is a good idea to let her pay for everything. Every guy should have some sort of aspiration. You can't just try to settle for low eh?

I'm sorry but, no not to this woman ... I recently was dumped by the love of my life because he felt that money & tangible items meant more than I did. Or at least that is how he made me feel. After going through a long divorce he decided he couldn't do it because of all that he would lose. Of course he still professes his love to me since leaving but, ultimately money / tangible items beat me. I on the other would rather have the feelings that I've had and felt over the past three years anyday rather than having money or anything else for that matter. Love means more than all the money in the world.

I'm sure that all women are different where money is concerned, but to me it's not important. As long as they can stand on their own, and they are honest, and hard working - that's all that matters. And I'm not saying even that they have to have a hard job, only that they take it seriously. I would rather have someone with less money, but who's a really great guy, than someone with tons of money, who really isn't.

This is a relative question. As you can find mean man you can find woman that are just interested on that, Not that I will go out with a guy that is 40 y. old and that it is not doing anything for his life. But unfortunately , they are lots of woman that need an economic stability and they are looking for a man that can either please them or feed their babies etc. Only thing that I can tell you is that if you are a hard worker and a good man, you'll be fine, if woman don't accept you the way they are then guess what? is not worth it.

it's not the money so much as it's what the money suggests. while not having money does not mean a person doesn't have a good work ethic, or that they are or are not stable having money certainly suggests that the liklihood of those qualities exist. i am married to a wonderful man.... we survive but we are poor. the qualities that attracted me to him in the first place were qualities that wealthy men often have. he is a confident hardworking, intelligent man with amazing honesty and values. i grew up poor but came from a wealthy family, so i knew what i was getting into, and was happy to accept this way of life. so wether his hardwork and dedication pay off or not we are happy.

Nope. There was a guy I knew who had a ton of money, well his mom did anyway, but I couldn't go with him. I just didn't feel any physical attraction to him at all and it made me sick just to think about touching him.
But that doesn't mean I'm the only one feeling this way, there was a girl named Casey that found out and tried to guilt-trip me into going into at least just one date with him. I just couldn't though, money or no money if I don't feel an attraction I just can't do it.

Yes, it is one of my factors they look for because they can. On a biological level, it ensures that her offspring will be cared for. On a social level, it indicates that you are desirable and thus she won't be osterized. Her parents will support her decision too. It increases a sense of security. Woman are all about this even if they won't admit it. With that said, I don't think it is necessarily at the top of most women's wish lists.

More than actual amount of money, I think I looked for stability, a strong work ethic, and someone who had an appreciation for both hard work = money and money = security.
