I have a sheet that should help me what to write in my letter, but I can't figure what exactly to write! The letter has to be at least 3 paragraphs! Here's the bulleted list on he sheet:

1. Complete description of who you are, where you are from, and how do you have the privilege of writing to him
2. What my city is like
3. News from the states
4. Your thanks and understanding for what the soldiers are doing overseas

Please tell me some idea of what EXACTLY to write. It's very urgent - I have to bring it in school tomorow.

EDIT:
By the way, I came to this country 3 months ago. I lived in south-east Europe.

You should write about all the normal things that's going on in your home town. You should also be open and honest about what's going on. That is a soldier who is going to be reading what you are writing so make sure it's interesting. No one can tell you exactly what to write due to we have no idea who you are. You should write to them as you would a friend. Think of it this way, those people are over there fighting for a cause that they believe is going to result in everyone's freedom. Just be kind and inform them of what's going on. They are away from family, friends, and any kind of civilization they are used to. Good luck and GOD bless. By the way, you might want to add Thank you at the end of your letter.

Your list of guidelines is pretty clear and straightforward. Introduce yourself by name, give your age, and where you live in the first sentence. Then the next sentence should reveal who you got the idea to write to him from.
Next paragraph. Discribe what it's like to live where you live, and what you like to do there.
Conclude with a thank you for his service and sacrifice.

If you can't figure out how to thank a soldier on your own, please consider moving to a new country. Please.
