I recently bought a new mattress but did not bother getting a new boxspring. I'm experiencing a dip in my new mattress and am wondering if maybe my boxspring is "done" or if I'm just not used to the pilowtop on the new mattress. Any suggestions?

when you sink or dip as you put it, it is time for a new box spring

Is the dip just the thickness of the pillowtop? Most pillowtops have a dip where you sleep. I had no idea when I bought mine but when I called to complain they said it's normal. When I asked around, I found out it's supposed to do it.

I hate it and wish I'd researched more. But after spending 2 grand, I'm stuck with it for a while.

Most mattress warranties are only good if you get the coordinating boxspring with them. A deeper dip than the thickness of the pillowtop would be the boxspring.

You should get a new boxspring since you got the new mattress. Using the old one will just not give you the support you need.

THAT IS A SIGN THAT THE BOX SPRING IS SHOT ALSO IF IT SQUEAKS WITH ANY LITTLE MOVEMENT .
