Can you TRY? Of course you can....
Will you succeed? I very seriously doubt it.

In the U K very very difficult , but it depends on the seriousness of your Offences and the ability of your Solicitor to present the facts at an Appeal , if you are granted leave to Appeal , but the usual rubbish about needing the car for your Work -- forget it - because the reaction to that line if you need your car for work you shouldn,t have run the risk in the first place -- so it is your own fault ???? but to get a 28 month ban you must have put yourself in a pretty bad situation , everything is worth a try - but don,t expect too much to go in your Favour

You could take the case to appeal but would need some grounds for arguing that the disqualification period was unjust or that it affects you disproprtionately in some way (such as directly affecting your livelihood). The appeal would probably be heard at the Crown Court and if you lose you could have a more severe sentence imposed and you will have to pay the court costs.
I do know people who have been successful in getting their ban reduced, but would strongly advise you to consult a solicitor to see what they think your chances of success might be.

No! wait the 28 months you obviously broke the law and were punished with a ban, now you have to suffer the consequences of your actions hopefully it will make you think twice before doing what ever you did to lose you licence.
Drink driving, speeding, dangerous driving what were you punished for????

I cant understand why people send in stupid replies to ads such as yours.
Yes you can apply to have your licence restored once you have completed at least 12 months of the existing ban. You will need good reasons, i.e work, involvement with charitable groups etc. If you feel you were wrongly convicted, Appeal.

I wou d recommend investing in the book "UK Driving Secrets" or "The Drivers's Survival Handbook" which are supposed to be an invaluable aid for this sort of thing. My brother needs to buy it as well. It was written apparently by an ex police officer and tells you how to undertake these things legally.
Go to the following sites to check them out:

talk to your district attorney..he may charge you a hefty fine but just explain that you live far from work and it is working a hardship on your family by not being able to drive.
but if you get another violation you could go to jail for the 28 months.

You can try. You'll probably need to see a solicitor to see if you have any chance. However, if you've lost your licence for as long a period as this, you were obviously doing more than speeding. I don't fancy your chances, but good luck anyway.

I wouldn't worry about it just drive without it, all that happens if you get caught is an extension on your ban so bollox to them, just keep going.

you should contact the dvla, because depending on what you got convicted of, they may allow you to go on course, its about awareness of things etc, you have to pay for it yourself though, i know someone who got caught drink drinving, she was banned but got her licence back 5 months earlier
ps- you have to go so long without drink to, and you will be tested for this, so that includes drugs aswell
