straight up, been there done that, and at the end of the day its a waste of time, i got pretty serious at one time, but u have to realize that u dont know this person at all and ur just falling in love with someone in your mind or the computer. my advice is dont do this anymore, its better to experience real love in the real world, and everything else that comes with it, which u cant with online relationships. plus people lie.

Just be cautious. People can say anything they want to online. If it doesn't sound right before they send it, they can change it to have a different meaning. Have you ever had to re-type something so that the other person didn't get the wrong message? Or has someone ever gotten the wrong message based on what you wrote? Unless you've met this guy or spoken to him on the phone, be very careful.

You never know who you're talking to online. That 25 y/o beefcake could be a 54 y/o ex-con, or it could be your neighbours 12 y/o son.

Just be careful.

Be careful. I was talking with a guy on line then we started talking on the phone and making big plans. He had a really good line and lots of charm, got my hopes up and then just completely disappeared. I tried to find him and email him and called some numbers I had off my caller ID for him. He was gone. It was just game with him and he is probadly doing it to someone else now. It didn't ask for money but still it hurt a lot.

Does he like you in return? I've personally never had a good experience with meeting people online, but my friend actually met a girl and got married after chatting on with her for a year. If certain things are meant to be, it will work out for the best.
good luck =)

Alisha sweetie.. nothing wrong with it at all as long as u don't exceed the limits.. it's ok if u talk to each other like a bro & his sis.. this relation could be healthy , esp after he got married.. i had similar experience but with different results , that ended not talking to each other frequently.. he proposed to me , but i refused cuz i only loved him as a bro no more & i never gave him any hints about marriage & he knew that.. anyway , we just congratulate each other on occasions such as Eid al fitr & al adha & ramadan , ..etc.. may allah bless u & all of us.. love & peace from islam..

you are starting to like the idea of liking him...best bet is to try and set up a public meeting during the day...maybe meet for coffee or something...or a lunch date..that way you have a time limit. you have to be able to talk to him in person, see his facial expressions, watch his eyes...etc.

but mostly BE CAUTIOUS...meet in public and during the day for the first couple or so meetings...till you are comfortable...maybe make a group date so that others can meet him and watch for warning signs

I say you take it one day at a time, its so easy for someone to say anything online. You can be whomever and say whatever behind a screen. Just be careful

keep in mind that not everyone is who they seem online. Take safety precautions...that being said...i know a couple that have been married for 15 years...they met online.
