Given an eternity, could man create life from the elements? Given an eternity are there any limits to what man is capable of?

Please don't say creating planets from nothingness.

Yes, there is a difference. For one the Gods have power. I have yet to meet a man that can actually create lightning bolts out of thin air. The reason the Gods are Gods is because they did something so astronomically unbelievable that they made it up there. The others were because they were either born of a God/Goddess or because they did something as well. Though for Dionysus, can't say much on what he did. *Shrugs* Each God and Goddess has his/her own unique story.

Yes, MANY differences.

Given even an eternity of eternities, a human will never become as God. Hopefully we will become more like God; but never as God. We will not become Gods.

He was God; always has been God, still is God. He did become man by the Incarnation. For specific reasons.

God was able to become a man; men are not able to become gods. Neither are women, though husbands might treat them as such .... and some wives do treat their husbands as idols, putting "burnt offerings" before them .... whatever she burnt for supper that time.

immoratilty, abilty to do things us humans can't do and the abilty to concieve intricate ideas that we can't grasp that is about it. an eternity to create humans, don't think so. we really don't want a modern frankenstien running around. an eternity man could accomplish many things. just look what we have accomplished in the last three centuries.

Most religions believe that man's soul IS immortal. Given that, is there any difference, ultimately between God and man, other than our relative progress?

Man probably doesn't have an eternity. Maybe a thousand years at best.
