I've been in therapy for about a month for anorexia and cutting. I'm doing good, ALOT better then I was, at the very least. Im eating, (if not the amount I'm supposted to) at least more then I was,and I'm slowley increasing it. I haven't cut in over a week. Im doing fine, but my moms wreck. How can I make her feel better?

Don't worry about your mother right now. You have been doing much better but you are NOT out of the woods yet. A week is nothing. It takes time to undo all the emotional crap that caused you to have an eating disorder and cutting in the first place. Just continue with your therapy, eating and don't resort to cutting when you don't think you can't handle something.

Talk to your therapist about bringing in your mom for a session. Sounds like she could use some therapy too. It's great that you're doing better though, keep going!

This is a tricky subject. The first answer I was going to say is that telling her what you just told us is probably a good thing. However, if you've said it before but cut again then it's gonna be harder to convince her. Personally, I'm not sure what you could say to truely make her believe you...

Time heals all wounds. I think a month might be too soon. Just keep telling her truthfully that you are doing better and I am sure she will see the difference in you too. Moms seem to know all.

Good luck. :)

Just give it time. She'll begin to notice the positive changes in you and that will reassure her that you are back on the right path to happiness.

just keep on doing what u are doing and she'll fall in line, she's ur mom, she'll ALWAYS be worrying bout u, cause u are her kid, u need to focus on u and just take care of number 1 (YOU), she'll see the signs and gradually that trust will be rebuilt. ... good luck!
