I think that is so rude for my date to whip out her cell phone and start chatting with one of her friends or whoever (and not even an emergency). I always have the courtesy to put my cell on "silent" in front of her when the date commences.

How about you? Has this ever happened to you? Serious answers only, please!

Very insecure people use these things when the time should be committed towards the date. Our society has turned into a type that must forever be talking to someone and it drives me nuts. When I am in my car the phone is off when I am on a date it is off. I only use it in an emergency or when I want to meet up with someone. I love butting in when the people are on one at a supermarket, church, video rental place wherever and I get a look or a comment and I always say if you want it private take it somewhere else.

No, but that's because the girl knows I will be gone if she does it. You need to make a stand and stop letting this chick walk all over you. Girls will do this if they are not interested in you, but the least they could do is show some respect. If you let her do this, she will lose all respect she ever had for you, and it will be over, but I suppose there is always hope. You don't want to get mad at her because that would show her that what she is doing is affecting you and making you mad, making you look weak and pathetic, so what you want to do instead is just give her a taste of her own medicine. Next time she does it, take your own cell phone out if you have one and start talking to people on it, or just start walking away... see what she does. If she hasn't already lost all respect and attraction for you, she will get her **** together and chase after you... if not, good riddance. Good luck.

Yep. Only thing is, that he's been my boyfriend for almost 3 years now. He didn't have a cell when we first started dating. Now, he's on the phone all the time! Mainly for work. I always tell him exactly what I think about it too.

If we were just starting to date and this happened, I would just end it right then and there.

yes...it's rude. My guy text messages all the freaking time! I was about to send him a text asking him if that is a better way to grab his attention but luckly for me he got the hint one night when he made the comment that sometimes he hates cell phones, I just dropped my head and said I did too. Now theres not really a problem, he usually turns it off or ignores it. But I suggest sending her a text whiles she on her phone asking if she plans on being on the phone all night or with you.

I have had people do it to me and I thought that it was very rude. However, I did it intentionally to my ex-boyfriend because we went out on a date and he was just working my last nerve and I knew it would piss him off. I mean yeah it was rude but the way I was feeling around him that night, I felt like and could've done a hell of a lot worse....lol....take care:)

It's never happened to me, but I agree with you it's the height of rudeness. At least you know the girl is a jerk and you won't need to waste your time and money on a second date.

he's your chaffuer and you experience like your doing something spectacular by "helping" him with gas? After he will pay for you men to bypass out, your complaining he has no money left? Ugh. Get your man or woman automobile. Be your man or woman man or woman. don't be counted on somebody for each thing then get aggravated they run out of money.
